Hello, I make and develop music for a living. This is a fantastic privilege and if you have something for me to work on, that will be ace.
Over the last 10 years I’ve composed for award-winning films, broadcast TV, and commercials & campaigns in the UK and internationally.
I’ve scored an entire format for Channel 4, created FMCG and telecoms audio branding, and soundtracked TV and cinema commercials for broadcast in China, the Gulf and the UK.
I’ve produced and written songs with artists in Europe, Africa, Oceania and North America and have deals with EMI, Cooking Vinyl and Westbury.
I welcome commissions and would love to hear about your project. Please, get in touch!
I trained classically from age 4 on cello and finally qualified with a Grade 8 Distinction on alto saxophone, thanks to support from the Nottinghamshire Education Advanced Tuition scheme.
At university I abandoned instruments in favour of decks and amassed a too-large record collection spanning all genres, DJing alongside Freeform Five and Mixmaster Morris.
I traded in my records for my first studio in 2003 and, thanks to support from the UK Film Council and many, many others, began composing for picture in 2006.
I approach commissions in the same way I approach producing a new artist – with a blank slate. I have massive respect for people who have an identifiable sound – however, I’ve found I do my best work for clients by building a new sonic palette for every project.
Why? Because every project has its own concept and internal logic, so the music should reflect and deepen that world.
